What Brides...

don’t realize is that there is more you can do to improve your appearance before the wedding day other than just getting fabulous hair and makeup! Here are my favorite pre-wedding beauty tips that every bride can start doing a few months out to a year before the wedding day.

  •  Stay Hydrated! Drinking enough water will help hydrate your skin and give you a natural glow. I recommend women drinking at least 72 ounces of water a day which is about 8 to 9 glasses a day. Also replacing soda with water will also help with puffiness and will also help clean out your system.

  • Introduce biotin or a hair, skin, and nails vitamin into your diet. This will help give you healthy, luscious hair by the time the big day rolls around and also strengthen your nails. I personally like the Nature’s Bounty Hair, Skin, and Nails with Biotin. www.naturesbounty.com

  • Start using a dry oil, moisturizer or night crème before you go to bed, which will help balance out your skin. Even if you have oily skin, it is still important to moisturize, so your skin doesn’t produce more oil. I recommend the Elcie Glow Enhancer dry oil for all skin types as a moisturizer. www.elciecosmetics.com

  • Mask it! Ever since I discovered sheet masks I have been referring them to everyone mainly because you get great results without having to deal with the mess and clean up with a traditional mask. Boscia is a great brand and has a great variety of masks depending on your skin type and specific concerns. Since the masks are only $8 a piece I recommend starting a few months out and doing them once or twice a week and especially a night or two before your wedding. www.sephora.com
