The Knot Pro LA Workshop

I recently got to attend and had the pleasure of being the beauty sponsor The Knot Pro Workshop in LA last week, and it was a wonderful experience! We started the day early at 5:30 am at The Jeremy Hotel on Sunset Boulevard so we could set up and start all the makeup and hair for the presenters promptly at 6. The hotel (which is brand new and only been around since August) was gorgeous and set up like an art gallery rather than a hotel. It provided a beautiful space and amazing catering for the entire event.

By 9:30 am we were finished with all the makeup and hair, and it was time to attend the welcome breakfast where the planner Events by Fran outdid herself! All of the florals were stunning by Peonies and Petals, and the catering by the hotel was fabulous! Everyone had an opportunity to network before the actual event started which was a bonus. The theme of the event was "Every day is a fresh start" and the atmosphere bright with citrus inspired design incorporated not only in the design and decor but also in the stationary created by Meldeen.

After hearing all the informative and professional speakers and panelists, there was an intermission where I was able to set up a lipstick bar. We did lipstick touch-ups next to the headshot bar where fellow pros were able to get their headshots done by a professional photography service, Villa Visuals. We had a fantastic lunch which was a buffet consisting of three different types of salads, pumpkin ravioli (which was the best thing ever), and rosemary chicken. The dessert bar thrown together by Intricakes was not only physically beautiful but the mini cheesecakes, doughnuts, and tarts were absolutely delicious.

The last part of the day was met with networking and making connections. I felt so lucky to be around fellow professionals in the wedding business where we all are so passionate about what we do and giving every single client their dream wedding or at least getting to be one of the links in giving someone a dream wedding. After the full twelve hour day the cocktail hour offered a chance for everyone to wind down and enjoy the signature drink of the evening along with background party music provided by DJ Krieger. All in all the entire process and workshop was a huge success and I was honored to participate.
